The D Lot Holds Online Hardware Auction for Make-A-Wish Michigan
As Autorama ended up being canceled for the second year in a row, the event’s iconic charity auction is moving forward, giving car enthusiasts the opportunity to bid on everything from parts and accessories from hot rod to a St. Ignace car cruise weekend package.
Proceeds from D Lot’s silent charity auction benefit Make-A-Wish Michigan.
After Autorama’s cancellation last week, The D Lot, in partnership with Pfaff Designs and presented by AMSOIL INC., Decided to go virtual.
The auction runs from April 30 to May 14.
For those who despair of the lost Autorama experience, The D Lot is posting interviews and videos on his Facebook page.
“It was important for us to continue to showcase some of the automotive flavor of Autorama for those retiring from their favorite automotive events,” Pfaff Designs’ Murray Pfaff said in a press release. “Plus, they can walk away with treasure troves of gearboxes.”
The release says the funds are going directly to Make-A-Wish Michigan, a nonprofit organization that helps children with serious illnesses make a wish come true.
“This year, we have the ability to go beyond Autorama viewers and the virtual world to achieve great things for deserving children,” said Pfaff.
