Adventure sports legends Travis Rice and Cameron Zink are proud to announce SENDYan online speed hub. SENDY is an online marketplace and Gear Hub that allows community members to buy, sell, and rent adventure sports gear across North America. It’s designed to get more people outdoors and more people connecting with each other, the natural world, and their true selves.

They strive to dramatically increase the life of old sports equipment and make it easier for people to get outside, while helping to protect the earth we love.

SENDY is an online marketplace and Gear Hub that allows community members to buy, sell, and rent adventure sports gear across North America.

BUY IT.

SENDY makes it easy and safe to find used equipment beyond your region.

SELL IT.

No more gear lying around in garages and closets. SENDY makes it easy and safe to turn equipment into cash.

TO RENT.

Find and rent equipment from stores and individuals anywhere and anytime with the click of a button.

SENDY is designed to bring more people outdoors, to connect more people with each other, with the natural world and with their true selves.

SENDY is a community. A community that helps each other get out, get into their bodies and feel what nature always intended them to feel.

We don’t just want a happy planet, we also want happy people, and SENDY is the tool we can use to solve both problems. What do you have that someone else might need? Every piece of equipment that finds a new home is one less new product that rolls out of a factory and is shipped around the world. Every piece of gear that finds a new home helps someone pursue their dreams, immerse themselves in their body, and focus on what matters.

The problem isn’t that we don’t have enough stuff, it’s that those things are poorly distributed. We have the power to change that forever. And by us, I mean you. Every individual reading these words. If each of us makes sure that nothing is lost, that nothing lies in dust and becomes obsolete, then the problem is solved. Imagine a world where everyone who wants to thrive in nature has what they need to do so. Imagine the generations of lives that can change if we give families the tools to get back to the great outdoors.

There is no doubt that shopping online is difficult these days. We humans were just not meant to have so many options. You open Amazon to buy a new phone cord, and 10 minutes later you’re trying to figure out if there’s a difference between the $9 and $10 options. Of course, it’s good to know that you see everything on the market when making a purchasing decision, but what if someone had already taken a look and selected only the best products from which Choose ?

It’s there that Salt + Snow This is a new e-commerce website designed to bring you the best (and only the best) outdoor gear for women, men and the whole family, with an emphasis on style as well as feature. The idea was born between co-founders Kathy Thomas and Sara Zilkha, two mom-on-the-go moms with a passion for surfing, snow, hiking and the outdoors.

Equipment test for Salt + Snow

“I was tired of having twenty different tabs open to find what I needed for my family,” Zilkha said. Photo: Salt + Snow

With nine children between them, they already had their hands full before spending countless hours on the internet trying to find the best gear to outfit themselves and their families. They realized that finding functional and stylish equipment was a daunting task.

“Sara and I became friends when we started surfing and skiing together,” says Thomas. “One day we talked about the lack of a real one-stop destination where we could find all the right brands and products for our whole family that both looked good and provided everything we needed from a performances. So we decided to create it. And why not also make it a place to connect with like-minded women, men and families looking for the same thing?”

“I was tired of having twenty different tabs open to find what I needed for my family,” Zilkha said. “And so often the online and in-store experience in the outdoor space can feel heavy or have too masculine an aesthetic. It was truly an “aha” moment.

After its launch last March, Salt + Snow’s offerings include nearly 20 top brands such as Matuse, Kassia + Surf, Xcel, Revo, Left on Friday and Cynthia Rowley. They’re quickly growing to 40 brands for the fall and winter seasons, with snow-inspired offerings that include Aztech Mountain, Amundsen, Namuk, and Dinoski Kids Skiwear. Salt + Snow also strives to make their consumer boutique brands stand out on the trails, beach or slopes, and support other entrepreneurs such as Alwrld, Kavala Collective, Seaesta Surf and Dip.

For Thomas, it’s also a big part of the motivation to create Salt + Snow, promoting “the discovery of stylish yet functional outdoor lifestyle brands created by people who care about making the world a better place.” We wanted to provide a marketplace that sheds light on these brands and increases the number of eyes on these special businesses,” she said.

On the connection side, Salt + Snow worked to create The Vagabond, a hub for the community of adventurers, researchers and doers to access inspiring stories as well as trusted advice on gear, wellness and travel for the whole family. “Summit Stories” includes interviews with a blind mountaineer, stories about learning to surf and ski, and the National Parks Foundation.

A dedicated “Kids Korner» is packed with summer playlists, kid-approved smoothie and snack recipes, and hiking guides to help make easy decisions when it comes to keeping little ones excited to explore the outdoors .

Splatoon 2 Nintendo Switch Online Gear Distribution Ends Soon

By Online gear

Splaton 2 released over five years ago for the Nintendo Switch, and the game continues to see online play as the launch of Splaton 3 approaches. However, it looks like Nintendo is discontinuing support Splaton 2 as the exclusive distribution of Nintendo Switch Online gear is ending soon.

First released on July 21, 2017, Splaton 2 was an important multiplayer title for the Switch’s launch year alongside Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The first one Splatoon was a hit given the Wii U’s low installed base, and the sequel broke Nintendo’s sales records for a new IP. By March 2022, Splaton 2 sold over 13 million copies and entered the top 20 best-selling first-party Switch games of all time. The success of Splaton 2 prompted the development of another sequel, Splaton 3, which aims to improve almost every facet of the previous title. New features in Splaton 3 aim to improve the foundations laid by Splaton 2.

Nintendo has announced Nintendo Switch Online-exclusive “Online Jersey” and “Online Squidkid V Shoes” gear for Splaton 2 will end on August 31 in Japan. Additionally, Nintendo Switch Online-exclusive gear codes associated with Splaton 2 expire on December 31 in Japan. In the United States, exclusive gear distribution also ends on August 31, and no further codes will be distributed after the deadline. Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in the United States can download the exclusive gear until August 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

Annual Nintendo Switch Online Subscribers Received Exclusive Codes Splaton 2 gear in September 2018. The special came a few months after the release of Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion July 13, 2018. Octo Extension featured playable Octolings for the first time in the series and introduced a slew of single-player content. Octo Extension is the “ideal way to train” before Splaton 3 is coming, according to Nintendo’s eShop page.

Nintendo is probably ending support for Splaton 2 as the company prepares to support Splaton 3 for the coming years. The recent Splaton 3 Nintendo Direct has confirmed that two years of updates are planned as well as major DLCs. Remaining Splaton 2 players are expected to migrate to Splaton 3and the offer of Splaton 2 the exclusive gear probably won’t appeal to players by then.

Unfortunately, users have cited issues regarding the distribution of Splaton 2 gear codes, which means some Nintendo Switch Online subscribers may need to contact Nintendo Support to resolve potential issues. Nintendo should fix these issues before the August 31 deadline and the launch of Splaton 3. A smooth transition from Splaton 2 at Splaton 3 can prove beneficial during the first few months of the game’s release. Later this month, the new Splaton 3 The Splatfest demo gives players the opportunity to try out the game before it launches.
