Camden County to Close Haddon Township Library November 8-27

HADDON TWP. – Camden County is closing its library here for interior repairs.

The building at 15, boul. MacArthur. will be banned from customers from Monday, November 8 through Saturday, November 27, the county said in a statement Monday.

Workers will make “maintenance repairs” to the building’s roof and repaint the children’s room, county spokesman Dan Keashen said.

Chutes will be closed and due dates will automatically be extended during the closure, according to the county statement.

He noted that residents can also return items to any other branch of the county system, which will continue to operate normally.

The Westmont Library will not be available as a pickup site for any new reservations after Saturday, the statement said.

“If residents have items ready to be picked up at the branch, they should verify them by closing on November 6 or the expiration date – whichever comes first,” the statement said.

“All items waiting on the shelves at this branch after November 6 will be hung up and processed once the renovations are complete,” he said.

Patrons are also encouraged to use the 24/7 digital access of the library system.
